My name is Wayne Greco and I have been allowed to serve the membership of RTOERO, District 3 as Second Vice President. I retired in June 2020 from Huron Superior from my role as classroom teacher of 32 years and Vice Principal at St Paul School. For the first time in a very long time, I’m the new kid in the group. I look forward to meeting many former colleagues as well as other educators that have given their sweat and time to education. I look forward to the opportunity to serve and represent the needs of RTOERO, District 3 members.

I strongly believe in service to the community. I am currently Chair of the Board for the SSM Public Library, I am treasurer for FOPL, Federation of Public Libraries, a member of SSM Cultural Advisory Board, and a Rotarian. In the past I was on the Board of Directors for SSM YMCA and was Board chair for two terms.

I would like to bring my life experience to serving the needs of the retired educators of RTOERO, District 3. I look forward to learning about the issues that matter to you and working with you to meet your needs. Finally, some of the most dedicated, passionate creative people I have ever met have been educators, so it is my pleasure to continue to grow those relationships. Please reach out to me if there is anything I can do for you or just to share memories of your journey.

Wayne Greco
Second Vice-President
RTOERO District 3

I am very honoured to serve on the Executive of RTOERO District 3 in the role of Secretary and pledge to fulfill my duties fully.

During my 40 year career in education, l worked in the elementary system, retiring in June 2019.  I was initially employed by the former North Shore Roman Catholic School Board and resided in Elliot Lake. In 2000, l returned to Sault Ste Marie, and worked as a teacher and administrator for the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board.

So far, retirement has been interesting. It has provided myself the opportunity to further delve into new areas of personal interest, to volunteer more extensively within my community, and “to just slow down and appreciate life.”
